If your home isn't selling, here are a few things I'd suggest to help get buyers more interested.

Want to buy a home? Search all homes for sale.

The word on the street is that we have a hot seller’s market, and in many cases, that’s true. However, about one quarter of homes on the market still fail to sell and end up expiring from the multiple listing service. If you want your home to sell, here are six things you can do to ensure you and your home don't just become another statistic:

1. DO NOT overprice your house. Even in our fast-selling market, you need to make sure you price your home at market value to get people interested. Many buyers in the market have had their offers

I know I've said it before, but this time I mean it: Spring is HERE!

According to AccuWeather, this is what the next week and a half is looking like:

That's right, it's going to actually get close to 70 degrees this weekend! That means it's time to start being an "active" member of life again. When I say "active", I don't mean you actually have to start working out, you just need to pretend like you participate in things that occur outside your front door.

That being said, read on for your full list of Kelly Approved Events over the next month.

This week's post is veering away from real estate and the norm and focusing on something a little more serious and a little closer to our hearts: suicide prevention.

At 74%, suicide is the leading cause of violent death in Dane County.

Unfortunately, no one recognized ten year old Houston native Kevin Reese Jr. as a risk, and the outcome was heartbreaking (read here).

- In the U.S., about 45,000 deaths are attributed to suicide each year, making it the 10th leading cause of death in America (“Beat the Blues Cruise 2019").
- In Dane County, Wisconsin, 50-60 people are taken from us annually due to suicide.

Happy Spring!

Not only is it the first day of Spring, but it's also the last 24 hours (less by the time I post this) of filling out brackets for the Division 1 men's basketball competition.

To be exact, you have

until brackets NEED to be in.

Therefore, to ensure you get the optimal amount of time to read this post then fill out your bracket, I'm keeping this week's post short and sweet.

If you think you have what it takes to predict the outcome of the NCAA Tournament, if you're in it to win some Packers/Brewers tickets / cool schwag, or if you're just looking for an excuse to take a break from working, then head over to our free pool and make your picks!

And, just a reminder: the reason we're

With 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and a spacious 2-car garage, this well-maintained home is a must-have on Madison's popular East side.

Upon entrance, you're greeted by french doors leading into a roomy den/office. The plush carpeting was recently updated and spreads throughout much of the home.

Gather the entire family into the living room, where entertaining will come naturally. A welcoming, wood burning fireplace makes Wisconsin winters easy.

Broad windows, a common trait in 5129, grants an abundance of light into the home during all hours of the day.

Move into the kitchen, which is ready for the chef of the family. With a massive pantry, plenty of cabinets, and a wrap-around counter, there's no shortage of space

If you're unsure of what I'm talking about, then you're a little behind on the news. Let me catch you up: this weekend is St. Patrick's Day, a day where, in America, we celebrate with green beer, corned beef hash, leprechauns, and the occasional jig. In fact, I may be one of the only people who doesn't celebrate because I'm busy showering my father with love (it's his birthday).

Anyway, here in Madison, we do not take St. Patrick's Day celebrating lightly. You'll likely see green people stumbling all throughout the streets of downtown.

In brief, Second Harvest Foodbank helps feed the hungry in Southern Wisconsin. Every $1.00 raised feeds three people in need.
