The charming community of Verona has been named the 2017 Best Place to Raise a Family in Wisconsin by Wallethub.com. The study analyzed 80 municipalities in the state and was based on 21 criteria including:

The town measures approximately ten square miles and contains no less than ten community parks. In the south end of town, Fireman’s Park features a small lake with a dock and a beach. Next door to the Verona Area High School and Badger Ridge Middle School, Cross Country Park offers runners a place to speed past trees, open fields, and beautiful natural vistas. In the north end of the town, Field of Dreams has twin baseball fields where spectators can gather to enjoy a game.

Three schools within the town provide local students with a fantastic learning environment. Country View Elementary School can be found in the north end of town, and services children from Kindergarten through Grade 5. Badger Ridge Middle School is adjacent to the district’s high school, ensuring an easy transition for students. Verona Area High School offers students an incredible range of opportunities. Students in the 11th and 12th grades can take a variety of core AP courses. Those with a passion for sports will find that this school offers 22 athletics programs and has a staff of more than 60 coaches. As such, students who attend this school have plenty of opportunities to enrich themselves.
