One thing we recommend is getting pre-approved for a mortgage loan. This will make you look almost as good as a cash buyer in the eyes of a seller, and it will eliminate bumps down the road. Most sellers will actually not even consider an offer without a letter of pre-approval. Clients often need to find a good lender, but there are quite a few in our area that we can recommend. Don’t hesitate to ask us about them.
You also need to be educated about the loan process and the products that are available to you. Some loans don't even require a down payment. If you think that might be the right choice for you, do some research. Many of our lending partners offer workshops on this process.
