Independence Day, Fireworks, Celebration, July 4Th

Sun is out with temperatures on the rise. It is finally starting to look like summer. While the corn in most places won't be knee high by the 4th of July we still have you covered for all your 4th of July firework needs.   If you're like my 5 year old and my 3 year old anything that you can make sparkle or pop they want to see. Lets get into all of the area wide family fun and fireworks happening for your 4th of July festivities.

Shake The Lake

June 29th 5pm-Finale

One of Dane County's largest display of fireworks hosted by Festival Foods in the heart of downtown Madison. While the firework display doesn't begin until 10pm they have you covered with the iHeart Radio Rooftop Party. A rock music stage that features, The Family Business, Chaser, and Hairball. If rock is not your thing then mosey on down to the country music stage featuring, Dylan Schneider, Dylan Scott and Lee Brice.

While you're dancing away the evening you'll probably become hungry and thirsty or if you need some liquid courage they have you covered with many vendors selling a wide variety of food and beverages. They have everything from a crowd favorite Chick-fil-a to ethnic food.

Don't forget to come early and put a blanket or chair down to reserve your spot. Maybe I'll see you there. ;)

Monona has a great little secret called the Monona Community Festival that begins on July 3rd and commences with a great fireworks show on the 4th. They have everything from a carnival that runs 4pm to close each night, a beer garden, food carts in the park, art in the park, and live music. For being a smaller city here in the Madison Metropolitain area, Monona sure does know how to put on a good time.

WaunaBoom

July 4th Dusk

Join Waunakee and help them celebrate Independence Day at Ripp Park. It begins at 2 pm with fun, food, music, leading up to the wonderful display of fireworks. This festival could not happen without the help of their sponsors and the Waunakee area EMS.

 Deforest Windsor Area

If you are in the Deforest Windsor area you definitely want to check out the display. They start off the day with a Freedom Run (5K, 10K and One-Mile Fun Run) and move on to a car show, a parade and in the park you'll find Activity Booths | Food Court | Beer Garden. Park closes at 11pm but they do have a Safe ride program (8pm to close) for those who choose to partake in the libations.

Lions Fest

July 4th Dusk

The Lions Club in Edgerton, Wi puts on a show at dusk located at RaceTrack Park. Its hard to believe but this celebration has been going on for 73 years!  Help out the Lions club keep this tradition going.

July 4th Celebration

Fourth Of July, 4Th Of July, Independence Day

Shorewood Hills has their display at the Blackhawk Country Club at dusk (about 9:30 pm) for their Annual Fireworks Display. Blankets may be put out on the 10th hole hill after 5:00 pm. While this is a free show the EMS and Fire association put this wonderful show on every year, please consider a donation to help keep this show going for years to come.

Now that you know all the fireworks that are happening in your area I hope you have a wonderful and festive holiday. I'm going to leave you with this last question.  Did you know we consume an average of 150 million hot dogs on the 4th of July?
