A short work week is coming to an end and, if you are like me, you are wondering...what am I/we doing this weekend? Lets be real...realtors don't get weekends but we can dream right!? With the slight chill in the morning air you are probably thinking of pumpkin patches and apple orchards, but there is more than that happening in the area this weekend. Grab your fall drink of choice and head out to one of these events.
Badger Game Day
Badgers take on Central Michigan on Saturday at 2:30pm in their home opener at Camp Randall Stadium. It's going to be a gorgeous day with temps around 72 degrees at kickoff. Both teams have won their first games of the season but nothing can beat being a Badger and being at home in front of all your fans to show off your skills It's not too late to get your tickets. Vivid Seats has a few seats around the 50 yard line ranging from $53-$121. They of course have others beginning at $20 if you are looking for something a little cheaper. Enjoy the game and have a some nachos for me! ;)
Saturdays are for Dane County's largest farmers market. It is located on the square around the capital in Madison. This time of year expect to see rooted vegetables, late season tomatoes, carrots, mums, gourds and a variety of pastries. My family always make 2 loops around the square. The first trip is just to scope out the goods and the second loop is to buy what we need. Hours are from 6:15am - 1:45pm. Pro tip *get there early to snag all the best produce.
Come cheer on over 2,500 athletes as they head out on a full day of adventure. They begin grueling track with a 2.4 mile swim near Monona Terrace, followed by a 112 mile bike ride and finish with a 26.2 mile run. Whew.... Typing that felt like a workout and makes me exhausted. Good luck and stay safe to all the athletes competing. Check out the IRONMAN route where you can find the athletes to cheer on or steer clear of if you are out and about.
