For some this weekend is the unofficial start to fall. Everyone is getting their last minute Labor Day cookout and pool parties in before schools go back in session on Tuesday. Despite the fact that Fall doesn't actually start until September 21st, girls and guys alike are already off to Starbucks getting their PSL fix and making everything as pumpkin as possible.  While you might be thinking of corn mazes, and cooler nights by the fire, it's never too soon to keep up with the maintenance on your home.   Here are a few tips to keep your neighbors jealous and maintaining your home this month.

  • Inspect Interior & Exterior Door Hardware; Fix Squeaky Handles & Loose Doorknobs

  • Check For Frayed Cords & Wires & Replace As Needed

  • Waterproof The Porch And/Or Deck & Make Necessary Repairs

  • Schedule Heating System Tune-up & Chimney Cleaning

  • Clean Carpets & Rugs

  • Replace The Batteries In Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detectors

  • Remove Leaves & Debris From Gutters

  • Wash Windows Inside & Out
