If you're a Wisconsin native (or have lived here long enough), then you know that attending a Fish Fry on a Friday night is a natural part of life.
If you've only been in Wisconsin for a short time or just so happened to take an accidental detour to our beautiful country, you probably have no idea what I'm talking about.
Whichever person you are, I can almost guarantee you that it will benefit your happiness and stomach to continue reading.
A fish fry is an event where many different types of fish are thrown into some batter and deep fried, then served on a plate with coleslaw, potato pancakes, and/or other delectable, comfort food sides. If you're someone who's looking out for his/her health, your fish fry may be baked, sans breading. Either way, your tastebuds will never forgive you if "fish fry" isn't in your Friday vocabulary.
If you're picking up what I'm putting down, smelling what I'm stepping in, catching what I'm throwing, cashing what I'm checking...but you're not sure where to go, don't fret! I've compiled a list below, where you'll find our favorite Friday night spots to catch a fish fry in Dane County, WI.
FYI: if you'd like more information on the establishments, click the establishment name and you'll be directed to their website.
I asked the team which fish fry is their favorite. Though we each have a few we love, I was able to shorten the list to the absolute favorite, Dane County fish fry for each of us. If you're out on a Friday night and happen to venture into one of these establishments, you'll understand why they made the cut.

If you know me personally, you know I could go on and on when it comes to food (especially fish fry). However, considering I've spent most of my day carving out my plans for the next year's worth of Fridays AKA writing this blog post, I think I'll cut myself off here. There are a ton of other great establishments in Madison and Dane County that offer fish fry on Fridays. Check out some of the places I've listed above, or go on your own adventure and find a hidden gem that you'll later share with me. Either way, I doubt you'll be disappointed.
And, if you want to be a regular Fish Fry Goer but don't own a house in Dane County, give us a call! We're happy to help you fulfill your Fish Fry dreams while also fulfilling your homeowner dreams.
